MCS is hiring for an Audio Visual Lead Technician in Tampa, FL. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits.
The Audio Visual Lead Technician must demonstrate experience with A/V, Data, Voice, Networking, and Fiber cabling. The Audio Visual Lead Technician will require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations.
Typical duties include:
Educational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent
Certification Requirements: Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge.

Typical duties include:
- Terminating, Testing, Soldering, and Dressing all Low Voltage Cabling.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Using Scissor Lifts / Boom Lifts.
- Train, mentor, and develop junior technicians.
- Traveling to project and user locations around the greater Tampa Bay Area.
- Working flexible hours including nights and/or weekends.
Educational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent
Certification Requirements: Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge.
- OSHA 10/30, CTS, Creston, AMX, or Extron certifications desired
- 5 years of Audio Visual, Low Voltage, or Control Systems installation experience.
- Ability to travel to project sites outside of the Tampa Bay Area.
- Strong understanding of commercial A/V systems, structured cabling, networking, and fiber optic infrastructure.
