What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part time housekeeper/laundry aid (Weekends) position at Mission At Alpine Rehabilitation Center?
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Laundry aid to join our team. As a Housekeeper/Laundry worker you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in our residents rooms/common areas and helping to ensure that all laundry is properly cleaned, dried, and put away. Housekeeping Duties:
- Clean and tidy resident rooms, including: emptying garbage cans, dusting, sweeping, and mopping floors.
-Clean bathrooms including: wiping down sinks, dusting, mopping, taking out garbage, and cleaning toilets.
- Ensure that all surfaces, fixtures, and appliances are clean and sanitized
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and linens
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate personnel
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while performing cleaning tasks
- Handle resident requests or inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
Laundry duties:
-gather dirty laundry from residents rooms
-sort, wash, and dry dirty laundry
-fold or hang up clean laundry
-re-distribute clean laundry to the person to whom it belongs
Experience:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with nursing home housekeeping standards and practices is a plus
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient completion of tasks
