Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times through vigilant supervision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence.
- Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding each child's progress, needs, and milestones.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care when necessary.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, including meal times, naps, diapering, and transitions between activities.
- Document daily observations and developmental progress to inform future planning and reporting.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings (preferred)
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR, or willingness to receive certifications
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle behavioral challenges positively and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage with parents professionally.
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, or full shifts as needed.
