Kitchen Cleaner – Miss Essie’s BBQ

Position Overview
Miss Essie’s BBQ is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Kitchen Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment. This role is essential in supporting daily operations and ensuring we meet all health, safety, and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including prep stations, cooking equipment, counters, and floors
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and food containers throughout and after service
• Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of storage areas, walk-in coolers, and dry storage spaces
• Follow proper sanitation and food safety procedures at all times
• Assist with deep cleaning tasks on scheduled days (hood vents, ovens, walls, etc.)
• Restock cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies are low
• Support kitchen staff with basic cleaning and organization tasks during service
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed before shift end

Requirements

• Prior kitchen or cleaning experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
