Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Pastry Chef located in Rockville, MD. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for creating, preparing, and baking a variety of pastries, breads, and desserts. Key daily tasks include developing recipes, ensuring food quality standards, managing inventory, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and working closely with the culinary team. The Pastry Chef will also have an opportunity to bring creativity to the menu by introducing innovative pastry designs and seasonal items.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Bakery techniques and Baking methods
- Strong skills in Food Preparation and Cooking
- Demonstrated Culinary Skills with a focus on creating high-quality pastries and desserts
- Attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for providing exceptional culinary experiences
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards
- Experience in inventory management and ensuring efficient use of ingredients
- Culinary arts certification or equivalent professional training and experience
