12 Pallet - Tube Operator (PM Shift - Seasonal)

Position Title: 12-Pallet - Tube Operator
Report to: Receiving Supervisor

Position Summary
The 12 Pallet – Tube Operator is responsible for operating a 12-Pallet forklift to move, locate, relocate, cool and count product. 12-Pallet forklift certification and annual recertification is required. The operator is responsible to operate the vehicle in a safe and effectively manner. Must have knowledge of cooling cycles and properly building loads. Additional responsibilities include offloading field trucks while adhering to all truck load requirements and regulations. Must be able to work closely with others, have good work ethic and be willing to work within a flexible schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Must have 12-Pallet forklift certification
• Understand weight restrictions
• Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations
• Efficiently store product in the appropriate areas
• Cool product for production use
• Work safely in a busy environment including attention to other drives and pedestrians
• Maintains 12-Pallet forklift in neat and clean condition
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
• Follow all Food Safety and GMPs as required by company and position
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must have general computer skills
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Punctual and reliable
• Ability to work within a flexible schedule
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Experience and Education

• Must have 12-Pallet forklift certification
• Minimum one-year experience driving a 12-Pallet forklift and operating cooling tube in a warehouse environment
• Bilingual English – Spanish a plus
