As our Charge Nurse, you will have the opportunity to help set the standard supporting not only our residents, but our nursing team as well. We are seeking a talented LPN who values older adults, to join our team of compassionate care givers.
As the LPN or RN – Charge Nurse your duties would include:
- Providing professional nursing care to our residents through the proper administration of prescribed medications and treatments.
- Documenting pertinent information in the resident care notes/chart. (EMR)
- Assists in the admission, transfer, and discharge of residents in accordance with physician orders, Misericordia policy and governing regulations.
- Provide companionship as well as nursing care to our residents, ensuring their understanding of the care being provided.
- Provide leadership and guidance to our talented team of CNAs
You will use your assessment skills, make decisions, and help the team to serve our residents. We value the experienced, who have a purpose-driven and collaborative approach to care.
Requirements:
- Current licensure to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse or a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania
- At least two years’ experience in a long-term care setting
- Genuine concern for the needs of older adults.
- Strong customer service skills with both internal & external customers.
