Misericordia Nursing & Rehabilitation Center has been providing compassionate care to older adults since 1943. As an Activities Aide, you will assist in the planning and facilitating of the social and recreational events that our residents love! Helping our residents to have fun in organized interactive events!

As an Activities Aide your duties would include:
- Planning and facilitating daily, weekly, and monthly events to encourage socialization, relaxation, and recreation.
- Implementing activities that accommodate the residents’ needs, while keeping them engaged.
- Handling the logistics that make the event possible.
- Observing participants at events to gauge their enjoyment and obtain feedback.
- Adhering to and enforcing all safety protocols and procedures.
Characteristics of a successful candidate:
- Long Term Care Experience in an Activities or Direct Care Role
- Ability to lead and engage a diverse group of older adults.
- Maturity and enthusiasm. A commitment to working with a senior population.
- Strong interpersonal skills – the ability to make connections and form friendships.
- Creativity & Compassion.
- Detailed orientated, self-motivated, and the ability to motivate others.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Activities or Long-Term-Care Experience
37.5 hours a week -
Your 2-week schedule would be:
Week 1: Monday - 9 am to 5 pm
Tuesday & Wednesday - 11:30 am to 7:30 pm
Thursday & Friday – 9 am to 5 pm
Saturday & Sunday – Days Off
Week 2: Monday - 9 am to 5 pm
Tuesday & Wednesday - 11:30 am to 7:30 pm
Thursday – 9 am to 5
Friday – Day Off
Saturday – 9 am to 5 pm
Sunday – Day Off
