Summerfield Schools Sub-Custodian

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated record of successful employment.
• Communication skills and ability to work in a professional manner, including confidentiality.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to read basic operating instructions.
• Ability to read and understand warning signs.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical strength.
• Ability to cooperate with other staff members.
• Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
• Ability to support school functions and community activities as deemed necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Custodial work - clean and sanitize bathrooms, hallways, and classrooms.
• Assume responsibility for the building's general security.
• Promptly report needed repairs to the custodial director.
• Event setup and breakdown as needed.
• Maintain building and grounds.
• Perform other tasks and assume responsibilities as necessary to ensure the building's successful daily operation.
• Other duties as assigned.
