Maintenance Mechanic

Purpose of Position: To maintain the building, facilities, machinery and equipment.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

· Perform regular and preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and facility.

· Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly facility

· Identify potential issues and report to manager to schedule for repair

· Map out and compile materials list for upcoming projects

· Perform project repairs and installation of large equipment

· Ability to safely operate overhead crane

· Maintain inventory of critical equipment parts

· Monthly safety inspections throughout the facility

· Complete other assignments given by manager

Physical Requirements:

· Use a variety of hand and power tools in performing duties.

· Needs to use hands and feet to be able to put on Personal Protection Equipment including goggles, boots and gloves.

· Needs to be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

· Regularly required to be on feet 80-90% of time. This includes walking and crouching.

· Occasionally uses hand tools requiring good hand-and-eye coordination.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

· 5-10 Years of experience in similar manufacturing setting

· Light to medium electrical and plumbing experience required

· Strong mechanical and math aptitudes

· Forklift Certification preferred but not required

· Able to read Blueprints

· Able to use measuring equipment, i.e. calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, preferred but not required

· Organizational and housekeeping skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
