POSITION SUMMARY
The infrastructure specialist is responsible for ensuring an optimal end-user experience by monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the company's IT infrastructure.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Implements, maintains, and troubleshoots physical and virtual servers including, but not limited to, Windows Desktops and cloud services in Microsoft Azure and Office 365.
- Identifies security-related issues and threats and issues the appropriate response.
- Oversees company licensing for Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and third-party software.
- Maintains the company's SIP and VoIP systems and troubleshoots any end-user issues across all departments and satellite offices.
- Manages the company's storage systems, such as SAN and RAID.
- Monitors the backup and restoration of any company infrastructure.
- Documents written code and changes for future reference.
- Collaborates with infrastructure vendors and manufacturers, serving as the company's main point of contact.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any combination of education and professional experience that would meet the responsibilities listed above.
- Minimum of two years of experience with application implementation and/or management.
- Experience in corporate technical support or related customer service experience.
- Previous experience with or understanding of Microsoft Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud is preferred.
- Exceptional analytical skills with an aptitude for problem solving.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Able to multitask, work efficiently both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment, and learn and adapt quickly while maintaining strong attention to detail and customer service.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily an office environment with occasional project site visits.
