JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Production Manager - Electronics Assembly

Reports to: Operations Manager

Manages: Production Personnel in electronics assembly

Job Summary

• Efficiently manage all personnel resources in the production activities, including assembly, test, inspection, rework, repair, receiving, audit, and shipping.
• Trains employees on electronic wiring, assembly, crimping and soldering.
• Oversee operational performance metrics and personnel performance with overall goal of highly motivated personnel and efficient operations.
• Design and oversee material flow process with emphasis on reducing turn-around time and ensuring sound quality processes.
• Create and manage production schedule for on-time completion.
• Design and oversee processes with emphasis on problem avoidance and measurement as part of an overall continuous process improvement program.
• Establish and maintain an on-the-job training that ensures a knowledgeable and skilled workforce.
• Ensure an efficient, safe, and secure environment is maintained.
• Coordinate, develop and manage projects to meet the goal of organizational growth.
• Ensure that Company policies & procedures are being followed by all employees.
• Motivate, support, and provide guidance to production personnel.
• Ensure all safety and health standards are met to keep our company accident free.
• Communicate regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production.
• Evaluate equipment resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime.
• Set productivity goals for each manufacturing team member.
• Handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Communicate any relevant company information and updates to personnel in a timely matter.
• Handle conflict resolution & performance management with support of People Operations.
• Provide weekly & monthly reports on quality control, production numbers and employee performance to leadership team.
• Assist People Operations with recruitment and training of new employees.
• Complete performance improvement evaluations and coach employees when needed.
• Communicate with partners, customers, and employees in a professional manner.
• Track development milestones to meet established deadlines.
• Identify and address key concerns that may alter or impact production schedule.
• Manage a manufacturing team efficiently and effectively.

Interfaces: Intercompany personnel.

Decisions : Responsible for implementing or establishing organizational goals based on business needs, planning, strategies, and tactical skills. Independently determines and develops approaches to solutions.

Impact of Error: Involved in complex and critical projects with an emphasis on timely implementation and superior quality. Erroneous decisions result in failure to achieve goals critical to the major objective(s) of the organization.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

BS or BA in Business Administration or minimum of 10 years manufacturing management experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
