Key Responsibilities
Culinary & Food Preparation
- Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and production standards
- Execute batch cooking and buffet-style service, ensuring food is fresh and consistently replenished
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and proper holding temperatures
- Utilize basic cooking techniques such as sautéing, roasting, and grilling
- Transport food safely from the kitchen to the Employee Dining Room using a golf cart
- Set up and maintain steam tables and service lines during meal periods
- Restock food, beverages, and service items to ensure a clean, organized space
- Create a welcoming environment that reflects Miraval’s commitment to care and connection
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout service
- Collect and return dishware for cleaning and restock sanitized items
- Clean and sanitize all dining and service areas at the end of each shift
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Valid Texas Food Handler’s Certification
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Basic culinary skills and understanding of cooking techniques
- Experience with high-volume, buffet-style, or batch cooking environments, preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift, push, and carry moderate to heavy items
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- A genuine passion for nourishing others
- Positive, team-oriented mindset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
