Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety programs aligned with construction workplace safety regulations and ANSI standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards related to electrical safety procedures, occupational health concerns, and general construction risks.
- Lead safety training initiatives for all personnel, including OSHA compliance training, first aid and CPR certification, and specific construction safety protocols.
- Oversee incident investigations, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure adherence to NFPA standards for fire protection and electrical safety while managing compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to integrate risk management practices into daily operations and project planning.
- Maintain accurate records of safety audits, training sessions, incident reports, and regulatory compliance documentation using construction management software.
- Stay current with evolving OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, NFPA codes, and other relevant occupational health guidelines to ensure ongoing compliance across all sites.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction site safety management or related roles within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety management principles, OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, NEC codes, NFPA standards, and occupational health best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead safety training programs effectively and implement comprehensive compliance management strategies.
- Experience conducting risk assessments related to electrical systems, hazardous materials, and general construction hazards.
- Familiarity with construction regulatory compliance requirements such as Workers' Compensation laws and EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) protocols.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite and construction management software for record keeping and reporting purposes.
- Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to influence positive safety behaviors across diverse teams on active sites.
