We are seeking a skilled and experienced Word Processor III to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial role supporting the customer, located in New York, by ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of document processing tasks. This position has various work sites and offers a hybrid work schedule.
Job Summary:
As a Word Processor III, you will be responsible for creating, formatting, and editing a wide range of documents, reports, and correspondence. Your attention to detail, proficiency in word processing software, and ability to meet tight deadlines will be essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Document Preparation: Create and format a variety of documents, including reports, memos, letters, and presentations, ensuring they adhere to company formatting standards.- Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting errors to maintain high-quality standards.
- Data Entry: Accurately input and update data into documents and spreadsheets.
- Tables and Graphs: Utilize a high level of knowledge in creating and formatting tables and graphs to present data and information effectively, especially in reports related to the automobile industry.
- Macros and Special Command Functions: Proficiency in utilizing macros and special command functions within word processing software to streamline and automate repetitive tasks, ensuring efficiency in document creation and management.
- Formatting and Styles: Apply consistent formatting styles, templates, and layouts to documents, including those containing tables, graphs, and macro-enhanced content, to ensure a professional and cohesive appearance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and department heads to gather information and ensure accurate and timely document completion, especially in projects related to the automobile industry.
- Quality Control: Perform quality checks on completed documents, paying special attention to the accuracy and presentation of data, tables, and graphs.
- File Management: Organize, maintain, and archive documents and files related to the automobile industry for easy retrieval and reference.
- Deadline Adherence: Manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet project deadlines effectively, especially in time-sensitive reports and documents related to the automobile industry.
Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must participate in a federal background investigation.

High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus
- Proven experience as a Word Processor or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs) and spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets).
- Strong typing and data entry skills.
- Excellent grammar and proofreading skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of document formatting and styles.
