Position Overview

The Eagle Laser Operator is responsible for the job setup, material loading and unloading, program execution, and monitoring of machine production. The operator will inspect cut parts against engineering blueprints, adjust cutting parameters to maintain tolerances, and manage output quality. High attention to detail, problem-solving under tight production schedules, and clear communication is required. Adherence to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment is a must. The position will require being adequately trained and cross-trained in various functions within the department to complete production requirements needed to fulfill customer needs.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

1. Operate laser cutting machinery that utilizes nitrogen and oxygen assisted gasses (and conventional co2 resonators) and cutting edge fiber technology.

2. Setting focal points and nozzle centering.

3. Set-up and operation of laser equipment.

4. Perform necessary gas pressure adjustments to achieve proper cutting as needed.

5. Perform necessary cutting speed adjustments to achieve proper cutting.

6. Daily machine inspections for possible machine malfunctions to prevent potential downtime.

7. Sample and production runs of products.

8. Consistent and accurate quality checks.

9. Accurate completion of necessary paperwork.

Qualifications, Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• One to three years related manufacturing experience.
• Eagle, BLM and Mazak Equipment experience a plus.
• Knowledge of tube sizes, alloys and wall thicknesses.
• Strong blueprint reading skills are highly desired.
• Experience handling excessive length materials a plus.

Reasoning Ability:

• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or verbal form.
• Ability to read and interpret basic documents, safety rules and other correspondence.
• Ability to count and measure equipment.

Mathematical Skills:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Other Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrated ability to perform duties with direction.
• Demonstrates blueprint reading skills.
• Proficiently use Tracker (proprietary software) to pull orders.
• Demonstrates inventory accuracy.
• Demonstrates ability to complete all paperwork necessary for the position.
• Ensure facility maintenance through housekeeping, keeping product and facility secure, and maintaining the assets of the facility.

Attendance Requirement:

Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such a level as is determined in the company’s employee handbook. Must be available and willing to work overtime hours as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs. Travel Requirements:

• Minimal, but may be required to travel out of state for training opportunities.

Working Conditions:

May be exposed to noise if working in or around a production area. Schedule is based on shift and production need. Consistently required to stand, walk, use hands, talk, and hear. Physical demands include frequent lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. and pushing or pulling 50-75 lbs.

Position Location:

Position is onsite and not remote eligible.

Compensation:

Compensation for this position will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications, aligning with industry standards. The salary range for Monett, MO is also based upon geographical market standards for the industry and position in those areas.

There is a possibility of a bonus(es) based on individual performance and merit to be paid at the sole discretion of the company, but bonus(es) are not guaranteed unless outlined in writing in the offer letter extended to the candidate selected for the position.
