• Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, pastry bags, and other baking tools safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
• Assist in food preparation tasks for catering events or restaurant service, ensuring timely delivery of quality products
• Package baked goods securely for retail or catering purposes while maintaining product integrity
• Follow food handling procedures diligently to ensure safety and freshness of all items produced

Skills

• Extensive pastry preparation and baking experience with a strong portfolio of baked goods and desserts
• Proficiency in cake decorating techniques including piping, fondant work, and embellishments
• Knowledge of food production processes, recipe adherence, and high-volume baking operations
• Skilled in operating kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, slicers, and refrigeration units safely
• Strong knife skills for precise cutting, portioning, and preparation tasks
• Excellent food handling practices aligned with food safety management standards
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Experience with packaging for retail or catering needs with an emphasis on presentation quality
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory levels
• Customer service orientation to ensure guest satisfaction through quality products and professional interaction
• Culinary experience within the food industry or restaurant setting is highly desirable
