Job Description Title: Summer Fellow Department: Human Resources Location: Los Angeles, CA Pay: $25/hr (maximum 32 hours per week) Duration: June 1st – August 7 (10 Weeks) Overview: Develop the skills, experiences, and connections to accelerate your career in Human Resources. MiQ is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Summer Fellows. This fellowship program offers hands-on experience and exposure to various aspects of Human Resources. As a Summer Fellow, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, gain valuable skills, and learn from experienced professionals in the industry. Key Responsibilities: Assist with new hire onboarding. Enter, update and maintain employee records in Workday HRIS & ADP Workforce Now. Audit employee records to ensure accuracy and confidentiality. Assist with HR reporting. Support benefits and HR programs by answering basic employee questions. Help plan and coordinate employee engagement activities such as wellness initiatives. Assist with drafting HR communications. Conduct light research on HR best practices and summarize findings for the team. Assist with compliance tasks including reviewing state law updates and suggesting action items to stay compliant. Partner with HR team members on ad-hoc projects to support HR priorities throughout the fellowship period. Participate in team meetings to enhance your skills and knowledge. Other duties as assigned to support the department and organization's goals. Qualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated interest in Human Resources. This range may vary for positions outside of New York City as it has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled and does not take into account our bonus and commission structures.
