Digital Print Shop Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shop Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support various shop operations, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a blend of technical skills, people skills and creativity, making it perfect for individuals passionate about design and production processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and setup of materials for production, including project planning and layout design.
• Operate and maintain shop equipment, including finishing equipment and presses, ensuring quality control throughout the production process.
• Collaborate with team members to manage production and quality effectively, ensuring consistency across all projects.
• Support the fabrication of products by following specifications and adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain an organized workspace, keeping tools and materials in order for efficient workflow.
• Participate in inventory management, including tracking supplies and placing orders as necessary.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and performing routine maintenance.
• Assisting clients in preparing their orders for production

Skills

• Ability to operate machinery and be mechanically inclined
• Knowledge of Adobe Suite is a plus
• Experience with printing/ finishing equipment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail for quality control checks throughout the production process.
• Ability to learn new tasks.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.27 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
