Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical High School is seeking a dedicated, full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) starting in the 2026–2027 school year who is also committed to supporting inclusive education for students with disabilities. This unique, dual-role position combines direct speech-language therapy with collaborative special education inclusion support, offering an opportunity for professional growth and broad student impact. (appointment reliant on grant funding)
Major Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language and communication services to students on IEPs.
- Deliver direct instruction in both articulation and social pragmatics.
- Run small groups as needed.
- Conduct evaluations, write assessment reports, and actively participate in IEP meetings.
- Support inclusive classroom settings by working directly with students and general education teachers.
- Assist with instructional accommodations, curriculum modifications, and differentiation.
- Write and manage IEPs in collaboration with families and staff; ensure compliance with timelines.
- Serve as a liaison between special education and general education teams.
- Monitor student progress, using a variety of assessments and data-informed strategies.
- Foster an inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive learning environment.
- Maintain professional competence through ongoing development and reflective practice.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by school leadership.
- Valid state licensure and/or DESE licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Willingness to earn a Special Education (Moderate Disabilities) certification.
- Have strong knowledge of federal and state special education laws and procedures.
- Demonstrate excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
- Be committed to equity, inclusion, and continuous professional growth.
- This position includes but is not limited to: walking around the school, observing students while they work in their program areas, standing for periods, occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds, reading documents, using a computer, listening and speaking, using office equipment, maintaining energy throughout the day, and handling stress effectively.
