Minuteman High School is seeking a qualified Building Paraprofessional/Special Education starting in the 2026–2027 school year.
The Building Paraprofessional/Special Education will provide building-wide support across academic and career technical (CTE) classrooms. This position plays a critical role in supporting all students in a wide range of instructional environments, working under the supervision of licensed teachers.
This position will primarily be working with the Special Education Department in all academic and career technical (CTE) classrooms.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Minuteman educators and staff, contribute to school-wide goals, and support initiatives that integrate academic and career technical instruction. A commitment to student achievement, safety, and continuous professional growth is essential.
Major Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with Minuteman educators and staff.
- Support lesson delivery by preparing materials, demonstrations, and equipment as directed by teachers.
- Support student learning by demonstrating instructional methods, procedures, and techniques, including the appropriate use of materials, tools, equipment, as directed by teachers.
- Supervise students at all times to ensure a safe and structured environment.
- Implement classroom and CTE safety procedures.
- Support students with disabilities in all educational settings.
- Assist in managing classroom behavior and maintaining instructional standards.
- Tutor students in both academic and technical subjects.
- Work one-on-one or in small groups to provide targeted support as directed by supervising educator.
- Assist students in understanding and applying correct procedures and techniques.
- Collaborate with instructors to deliver IEP accommodations and modifications.
- Transport students as needed using Minuteman vehicles.
- Substitute for teachers when necessary.
- Participate in professional development and department initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the CTE Director and/or Principal.
- Experience working in special education preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required for student transport.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and to foster a positive working relationship with students and staff.
- Proficient with the use of technology.
- Experience working with a diverse student population, including students with disabilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with instructional staff.
- This position includes but is not limited to: walking around the school, observing students while they work in their program areas, standing for periods, occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds, reading documents, using a computer, listening and speaking, using office equipment, maintaining energy throughout the day, and handling stress effectively.
- Full-Time, 10 month position.
- Monday - Friday from 7:30AM - 2:30PM.

- Salary range $35,000-$45,000 prorated to date of hire.

Salary : $35,000 - $37,500
