Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Stand-Up Forklift Operator to support warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a stand-up forklift, moving inventory, loading and unloading materials, and maintaining an organized work environment. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Safely operate a stand-up forklift to move, transport, and store products throughout the warehouse.
Load and unload pallets, materials, and merchandise as needed.
Move products to designated storage locations and retrieve inventory for orders.
Assist with stocking, replenishment, picking, and staging products.
Verify product quantities and locations to help maintain inventory accuracy.
Inspect forklift equipment before use and report any damage or mechanical issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all warehouse procedures, safety guidelines, and supervisor instructions.
Assist with additional warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous stand-up forklift experience required.
Ability to safely maneuver a forklift in narrow aisles and busy warehouse environments.
Strong attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be willing to complete any required site-specific forklift training and evaluation.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials as required by the position.
Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive warehouse tasks.
Ability to work in a warehouse environment that may include varying temperatures, noise, and frequent movement of equipment.
Safety Requirements
Follow all forklift safety procedures and warehouse policies.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Complete pre-shift equipment inspections.
Maintain awareness of pedestrians, other equipment, and warehouse traffic.
Never operate equipment without proper authorization and required training.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse. Previous experience operating a stand-up reach truck or similar stand-up forklift is strongly preferred.
