Material Handler / Forklift Operator
1st shift Monday – Thursday 8am to 4:30pm (Fridays 7am – 3:30pm)
$17-19 depending on experience
A material handler is a vital supply chain professional responsible for safely loading, unloading, organizing, and transporting goods within a warehouse or manufacturing facility. They manage inventory, fulfill orders, and operate equipment like forklifts to keep daily operations running smoothly.
Core Responsibilities
- Loading & Unloading: Safely receive incoming shipments and load outgoing freight onto delivery trucks.
- Inventory Management: Track inventory levels, tag materials with proper labels, and record locations in the company's database.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and stage materials and finished goods to meet production orders or customer shipments.
- Equipment Operation: Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT), such as forklifts and pallet jacks, and perform routine safety inspections.
- Facility Maintenance: Keep the warehouse, loading docks, and storage areas clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA safety standards
