Kitting: gathering and packaging specific, individual items into a single ready-to-ship package or assembly kit. Workers in this role are responsible for following exact instructions, sorting materials, managing inventory, and ensuring every kit is complete and accurately labeled before distribution.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Kit Assembly: Follow written instructions and pick lists to gather the necessary components. Group multiple parts, sub-assemblies, or promotional items into a single package or crate.
- Quality Control: Inspect components for damage and verify that the quantity of each item is 100% accurate before sealing the kit.
- Packaging & Labeling: Package delicate items with protective padding, shrink-wrap, label boxes, and prepare them for final transit or the production floor.
