What are the responsibilities and job description for the Claims Service Specialist position at Minute Men, Inc?
Position Summary
The Claims Service Specialist overall objective is to process non-complex, non-technical claims related activities directed by Claims Manager. You will handle every step from data entry, to filing reports and mail support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Open and distribute daily mail and faxes and distribute and route accordingly.
- Claims entry.
- Medical release and medical records requests and follow up.
- File appeals, request for suspensions.
- Pull medical records electronically for independent medical exams.
- Uploading, faxing necessary information to the BWC & IC.
- Assist with training of new/current employees as needed and deemed necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize multiple demands.
- Exceptional work ethic, energy, and drive.
- Demonstrates alignment with company's code of ethics.
