We are currently seeking an experienced Spray Technician who takes pride in their work, understands turf health, and can represent our company professionally in the field.
Position Overview
The Spray Technician is responsible for applying fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, and pest control treatments to residential and commercial properties. This role requires strong knowledge of turf care, attention to detail, and the ability to diagnose and treat lawn and plant health issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply lawn and landscape treatments (fertilization, weed control, insect and disease management)
- Diagnose turf and plant health issues (brown spots, fungus, pests, nutrient deficiencies, over/under watering)
- Follow all label instructions and safety guidelines for chemical applications
- Maintain accurate service records using company software (Jobber)
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding lawn conditions and recommendations
- Identify upsell opportunities (aeration, seeding, additional treatments, irrigation issues)
- Maintain and calibrate spray equipment and trucks daily
- Ensure truck, equipment, and materials are clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Work efficiently to complete daily route while maintaining high quality standards
Requirements (Experience Required)
- Minimum 2 years experience in lawn care/spray applications
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- NC Pesticide Applicator License (Ornamental & Turf) preferred or required
- Strong knowledge of turf types, weeds, insects, and diseases common to North Carolina
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and handle equipment safely
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
