Hartnett Hall Gallery (HHG) Student Director Application
Responsibilities:
The HHG student director:
- Supervises Hartnett Hall Gallery and coordinates exhibitions with faculty mentor and Artist In Residence..
- Curates, designs, and implements the installation and de-installation of exhibits.
- Oversees publicity, art movement, insurance, shipping and gallery maintenance.
- Plans and coordinates receptions and other events.
- Manages gallery budgets.
Requirements:
- Proven commitment to Art Dept community
- Vision for gallery use
- Proven academic sincerity
- General knowledge and experience in museum/ gallery practice (preferred)
Additional Responsibilities:
The HHG student director will:
- Establish and maintain relationships with faculty, staff, students, and greater community.
- Serve as a liaison for the gallery, promoting engagement through inclusive collaborations and partnerships.
- Take initiative.
- Make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment.
