Position Overview
Minot Health Clinic is seeking a friendly, reliable, and organized Part-Time Medical Receptionist to join our front desk team. This position is approximately 1–2 days per week. As the first point of contact for our patients, the medical receptionist plays a vital role in creating a welcoming experience while helping ensure the smooth operation of the clinic.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous, professional, and welcoming manner
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel
- Schedule patient appointments and manage provider schedules
- Verify patient information and insurance eligibility
- Collect payments and assist with insurance-related processes
- Maintain and update patient records as needed
- Assist with general administrative and front desk duties
- Support clinic operations and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Comfortable learning new technology and systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office programs
- Previous receptionist, customer service, or healthcare experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus but not required
- Willingness to learn basic video creation and content development for clinic marketing and patient education initiatives
