We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Automotive Paint Prep Technician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and sand vehicle surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion
- Mask off areas that do not require paint using tape, paper, or plastic sheeting
- Mix and apply primers, sealers, and paints using airless paint spraying equipment or hand tools
- Buff and polish painted surfaces for a smooth, professional finish
- Follow safety protocols including proper handling of power tools and hazardous materials
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or background in auto body repair preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools
- Familiarity with auto painting techniques such as airless paint spraying and buffing
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during vehicle prep and repair processes
- Knowledge of auto detailing, and vehicle maintenance practices
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Basic understanding of auto restoration projects and mechanic experience beneficial
