Medical Device Assembler

Job Summary:

Assemble medical products from extruded or molded components. Assemble finished product using sub-assemblies and parts, and pack in designated carton according to customer specifications sheet and company policies.

Essential Functions:

• Place discrete components together per customer specifications.
• Fuse or bond products to meet finished product specifications.
• Cut or trim tubing to prescribed lengths.
• Bulk package product per customer requirements.
• Report problems or issues to supervisor for assistance.
• Work only on processes that you are being or have been trained to perform.
• Maintain clean and safe working environment per company policies.
• Use manufacturing documentation including prints, Manufacturing Processes and the Travelers to perform duties
• Use measuring tools and microscope to perform duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift minimum of 20 pounds routinely and 40 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to perform repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling, fine manipulation and rotation.
• Must be able to use microscope and/or magnifying lens occasionally.
• Must be able to climb steps.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Medical device manufacturing experience desirable.
• Basic math and reading proficiency.
• Able to follow written procedures and instructions.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
