Job Summary
As an Application Support Specialist with Minnesota IT Services (MNIT) and the Department of Transportation (MnDOT), you will provide support for the Allied Radio Matrix for Emergency Response System (ARMER) services at MnDOT. You will be responsible for implementation, administration, and troubleshooting of applications and systems utilized by the ARMER infrastructure and will work in cooperation with MnDOT ARMER staff and other agencies that utilize the ARMER system, to maintain highly available services for the State of Minnesota. This position requires an employee to be onsite at 1500 W Co Rd B2, Roseville, Minnesota at least 50% of the time, with some opportunity to perform work from a telework location. Telework for Minnesota IT Services is available on a limited basis. Employees will be required to meet current telework eligibility requirements.
Qualifications
This position requires a minimum of three (3) years of information technology application support services.
Experience must include:
- Active Directory and Windows Server (2016 or newer)
- COTS application installation in a windows network environment, and Network applications administration.
- Network Switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Network IP addressing and DNS, and Network connectivity and troubleshooting.
- Network Firewall administration and configuration.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a manner that facilitates mutual understanding.
- Customer-focused approach grounded in active listening, empathy, and solution-oriented problem-solving to deliver positive user experiences.
Education in Information Technology (IT) or an IT related field may substitute for experience as follows: a master’s degree for eighteen (18) months of experience; a bachelor’s degree for one (1) year; and an associate’s degree for six (6) months.

Salary : $69,697 - $114,568
