Job Overview
As the Hydraulic Assembler, you'll be responsible for producing quality parts using basic mechanical assembly practices and equipment. A hydraulic assembler performs in-process and final inspections of work completed by themselves and others.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assemble hose and tubing, fittings, and various other components into finished products
- Operate assembly equipment, such as crimpers, swagers, metal stampers, and cutters
- Read and understand basic engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions as guides to assembly
- Perform in-process inspections and tests using calipers and plug gages
- Pressure test using hydrostatic, vacuum, and pneumatic test equipment
- Accurately account for materials used in production and adjust for scrap
Minor Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area
- Set up workstation and select appropriate tools for assigned job
- Perform routine maintenance of production equipment
Qualifications for the Job
- Ability to read prints and take accurate measures
- High attention to detail
- Familiar with using calipers and other small hand tools and measurement equipment
- Good mathematical skills
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Complete 90% of the job while standing
Pay: $15.50 - $16.00 per hour
