Senior Engineering Technician

Three Rivers Park District is seeking to fill the position of Senior Engineering Technician at our Administrative Center in Plymouth, MN. This position is responsible for performing complex technical field and office assignments on surveying, utility locates, and engineering related work to assure accurate survey, utility, and engineering data for use in land acquisition, land records, planning, design and construction.

This position will support the Design Department, consisting of Engineers, Architects, and Project Managers. Some duties of this position include: 
•Field surveying utilizing survey and Global Positioning System equipment, including Total Station and GPS Unit 
•Construction inspection and observation 
•Utilizing Geographic Information System software, Cartegraph, and Microsoft Office applications 
•Supporting the civil engineering related asset management programs, including inventories and repair recommendations 
•Responding to Gopher State One Call tickets and utility locating 
•Maintain Park District record plans in SharePoint and GIS 
•Support drafting with AutoCAD design software
