This position is responsible for directing, supervising and coordinating the operation and maintenance of 13 City-owned buildings. Supervises two full-time staff and oversees contractors and vendors providing custodial, preventative maintenance, repair and pest control services. Includes administrative, planning and budgeting responsibilities, along with hands-on work when necessary to balance workload, respond to emergencies and train staff.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in building maintenance and operation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid driver's license and a valid Minnesota Boiler Engineer license, or have the ability to obtain one within one year of hire. Must obtain and maintain CJIS security clearance for unrestricted access to the Police Station. Prior experience in a local government setting and with computerized asset management and HVAC control systems preferred.
