Burnsville Firefighter Trainee

Ready to launch your fire service career? Burnsville Fire is hiring Firefighter Trainees—individuals eager to learn, grow, and serve their community. As a Trainee, you’ll receive the training and hands-on experience needed to fight fires, perform rescues, and respond to medical emergencies—all while building the certifications required to advance into a Firefighter/Paramedic role.

Our 55-member, full-time department operates out of two stations, providing all-hazard response and advanced life support EMS transport. We’re proud of our strengths-based culture, robust health and wellness programs, and total rewards package designed to support your success.

This full-time role gives you up to 24 months to earn the certifications you need to transition into a Firefighter/Paramedic career. If you’re driven, service-minded, and ready to make a difference, we want you on our team.
