What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clerk/Treasurer - Lafayette position at Minnesota City Jobs?
The applicant will need accounting skills, professional, dependable, strong public relations/customer service skills, self-motivated/work independently, high level of initiative/resourcefulness, ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changes and be able to attend evening meetings.
This position's duties include, but are not limited to: complete financial recording and reporting, preparing budget and financial statements, annual levy, certify assessments to county auditor, utility billing, computer skills, A/R and A/P functions, payroll processing, filing, various computer systems, record keeping of all city policies, minutes, licensing, ordinances and resolutions, perform duties required by council, prepare agendas, minutes, write policies, resolutions, ordinances, zoning official, work with attorney, auditor. All other duties as assigned or needed.
Minimum Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years post high school education in business or related field, or a minimum 2 years related experience.
