and vulnerable individuals through training, background checks, and preventative systems
designed specifically for churches, ministries, camps, schools, and child-serving organizations.
Founded approximately 20 years ago by attorneys Gregory Love (CEO) and Kimberlee Norris
(Chief Legal Officer), MinistrySafe was created after representing victims of child abuse and
recognizing the need for proactive prevention rather than reactive legal representation.
Today, the organization serves more than 25,000 customers nationwide and continues to
experience strong year-over-year growth.
The company’s primary services include abuse awareness training and comprehensive
background checks, with a strong emphasis on education and prevention as the most
effective tools for protecting children. While MinistrySafe primarily serves churches and
ministry organizations, it also operates a secular-facing division called Abuse Prevention
Systems (APS), serving schools, camps, nonprofits, and other child-serving entities.

POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Director of Marketing will lead the strategy, execution, and continued development of
MinistrySafe's growing marketing organization. This role will oversee a small, dynamic
team and ensure excellence in communication, Member engagement, and content
management.The Director of Marketing will also partner closely with executive leadership
to expand MinistrySafe's reach, strengthen brand awareness, generate qualified leads, and
educate organizations on the importance of child abuse prevention.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, this individual will work in close collaboration with
the CEO to leverage existing opportunities, identify new markets, maximize the
organization's investment in HubSpot, and build a data-driven marketing engine capable of
supporting the company's continued growth.
This role is ideal for a marketing leader who enjoys building systems, developing people,
and creating scalable marketing programs while working within a mission-driven
organization.
POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that supports
MinistrySafe's mission, brand, and business objectives.
● Lead and mentor a growing marketing team consisting of Product Marketing,
Website Management, Graphic Design, Video Production, and Marketing
Operations.
● Partner closely with the CEO to transition existing marketing initiatives while
identifying new growth opportunities.
● Oversee creation, management, and distribution of high-quality content across
video, digital, email, web, and social platforms.
● Maximize MinistrySafe's investment in HubSpot by helping optimize marketing
automation, lead generation, segmentation, reporting, and customer
engagement.
● Build marketing campaigns that increase awareness and adoption of
MinistrySafe's 5-Part Safety System, Background Checks, and Training solutions.
● Develop and execute lead generation strategies that expand MinistrySafe's
reach into churches, private schools, camps, daycares, public schools, and other
child-serving organizations.
● Analyze marketing performance metrics and use data to continuously improve
campaign effectiveness.
● Maintain brand consistency across all marketing channels and customer
touchpoints.
● Collaborate with other MinistrySafe departments and Tithely on various
projects.
● Maintain and refine MinistrySafe’s brand identity, ensuring it resonates with
target audiences and aligns with the Organization's mission.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
● Strong alignment with MinistrySafe’s Christian values and mission
● Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
● 5-7 years of progressive marketing leadership experience.
● Proven experience leading and developing marketing teams.
● Strong background in content strategy, digital marketing, SEO, and demand
generation.
● Proficient use of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and social media tools.
● Experience managing marketing technology platforms; HubSpot experience is
strongly preferred.
● Demonstrated ability to build and optimize marketing systems using analytics
and performance metrics.
● Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
● Ability to translate complex concepts into compelling messaging across multiple
channels.
● Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with tactical execution.
● Experience collaborating with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
● Familiarity with church, ministry, nonprofit, SaaS, or technology organizations is
a plus, but not required.
● High emotional intelligence with the ability to build trust, navigate change, and
lead within a founder-led organization.
