IT Support Technician
Location: On-site – Andover, MA
Compensation: $70,000–$80,000 annually (DOE)
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Tier 2 IT Support Technician to join a growing managed IT services team. This role is ideal for candidates with 3–5 years of IT support or MSP experience who thrive in a client-facing environment. You will work directly with end users, resolve technical issues, and contribute to small-scale IT projects that improve reliability, security, and scalability.
This is an on-site position in Andover, MA. Applicants outside the state or without MSP experience will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 2 helpdesk tickets (Windows, macOS, Office 365, networking, VoIP, etc.)
- Perform hardware/software upgrades (desktops, laptops, servers, networking equipment)
- Support cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, SharePoint)
- Manage security tools (endpoint protection, MFA, firewalls, backups)
- Participate in small-scale project work:
- Office setups and workstation deployments
- Firewall and switch installs/configurations
- Cloud/email/file storage migrations
- Escalate advanced issues to Tier 3 or vendor support as needed
- Document all work performed in the PSA/RMM ticketing system
- Provide clear communication with clients and internal team members
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of IT support experience, preferably in an MSP or multi-client environment
- Strong skills in:
- Microsoft 365 / Azure AD administration
- Windows 10/11 and macOS troubleshooting
- Networking fundamentals (firewalls, switches, VLANs, Wi-Fi)
- Backup & disaster recovery solutions
- PSA/RMM tools (ConnectWise, Autotask, Ninja, Atera, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving ability and independence
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local site visits
Preferred (Not Required)
- Certifications: CompTIA Network , Security , Microsoft 365 Certified, or equivalent
- Experience with VoIP/UC platforms (FreePBX, Teams Phone, 3CX)
- Exposure to smart-tech, IoT, or physical security systems (cameras, access control)
