Minerva Technology Futures is a geopolitical and policy intelligence firm focused on artificial intelligence and its associated technology stack. We help leading organizations understand and navigate issues that will shape how industries evolve, economies grow, and nations compete in the 21st century. Our clients include multinational technology companies, financial institutions, startups, and industry associations.


We are seeking a Policy Intern to support our work at the intersection of critical and emerging technologies and trade policy. The intern will contribute to research and analysis covering trade, investment, and technology policy, including policies affecting artificial intelligence, cloud and edge computing, and semiconductors, with a focus on the US-China and US-Europe contexts. Familiarity with digital trade, cybersecurity, or telecom policy is a plus.


This is a paid internship. 


What you'll do

  • Assist in producing analysis and research on trade policy, AI governance, digital sovereignty, and other policy topics. 
  • Support preparation of client briefings and written materials.
  • Help organize events, such as roundtables and workshops.
  • Contribute to Minerva's external engagement across industry, government, and academic networks.


What we're looking for

  • Exceptional research and writing skills
  • Experience related to AI policy, trade policy, or other international technology issues.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Enthusiasm for working on a small, fast-moving team.


Details

  • Fully remote (no office days), but you will preferably be DC-based. 
  • Flexible, collaborative work environment
  • Works with the Senior Analyst, Head of Strategy, and CEO.
  • You must have permission to work in the United States.
