This position is responsible for the day-to-day onsite management of the project with primary responsibility for maintaining the project schedule, submittals, RFI’s and COR’s.
Position requirements:
Must have recent experience as a superintendent on commercial construction jobs.
- Management and coordination of all onsite activities.
- Assist the Project Manager in writing the scope of work for subcontractors.
- Coordinate an effective schedule, trades, equipment and resources.
- Direct and evaluate site personnel and staff.
- Insure that the subcontractors are in compliance with Minero standards
- while negotiating on site labor relations.
- Enforce project safety and security at all times.
- Coordinate the review of all subcontractor and vendor payments with the project manager.
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent; BA degree in Engineering, Project Management or Business preferred.
- 5 years Superintendent Construction experience on projects valued up to 20M.
- Minimum of 10 years construction related experience.
- Minimum of5 years multi-family, commercial, or public work experience to be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience general business operations in the construction industries.
- Strong financial skills, people skills, computer skills and demonstrates knowledge of local and state regulations.
- Computer skills a must working knowledge of MS Office Suite. Must be able to use a cell phone and all applicable applications used by the company.
- Minimum training requirement: OSHA 30-hour, CPR/First aid, SWPPP.
- Must have good communication, teamwork and organizational skills.
- Ability to read blueprints required.
- A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history is required.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to bend, squat and kneel.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces.
- Ability to work on perilous heights, adverse weather conditions and moderate to very loud work environment.
- Able to work regularly onsite while being exposed to moving mechanical parts.

Job Description:
Plan, coordinate, and manage day to day project activities in order to meet project schedule and budget objectives. Communicate the needs of the project well in advance to the Project Manager.
- Prepare and conduct weekly onsite subcontractor meetings.
- Prepare, distribute, and communicate a (4) week Micro-Schedule on a weekly basis.
- Review project plans, specifications, contracts, submittals as required and plan work accordingly.
- Monitor project safety and enforce the Minero Standards on all onsite personnel without exception.
- Plan project activity and communicate those plans to your Construction Workerager as well as the subcontractors to ensure performance as required.
- Work with local building officials to schedule inspections, and re-inspections as required to obtain ultimate project sign-off
- Work with Architects and other engineering consultants to resolve RFI’s and other design related issues in a timely manner.
- Walk the project on a regular basis to enforce Minero minimum standards for construction to ensure a quality product upon completion.
- Prepare and submit RFI’s to the necessary disciplines to resolve subcontractor questions.
- Prepare and distribute Daily & Weekly log/reports and provide copies to Construction Workers and management team for review.
- Prepare and maintain project as-built drawings for submittal upon completion of the project.
- Work with local utility companies to ensure timely installation of phone, water, power, gas, and cable.
- Prepare project site and arrange for installation of Temp services for the project.
- Document all subcontractor back charges for repairs of damaged work, and other labor required by Minero to ensure the responsible party pays their share.
- Work with the Project Manager to ensure project completion.
- Perform preconstruction meetings with critical trades such as Rough Framing, Sheet Metal, Roofing, Lath & Plaster to determine readiness. Maintain notes of correction required and action to be taken and issue to the Project Manager within the same day.
- Maintain photo documentation throughout the course of construction.
- Maintain jobsite office in a neat and organized manner.
- Work with Project manager to create, review, and update as need the overall construction schedule.
- Arrange for all deputy inspections.
- Assist the Project Manager in preparing the project specific scopes of work.
· Provides leadership and direction to field staff on the jobsite, which includes but is not limited to providing regular guidance and motivation and actively participating in performance evaluations of jobsite staff.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for project execution
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Maintain professional courteous relationships with clients.
- Ensures that Daily Report forms are submitted weekly to the Corporate Office.
· Ensures that "Violation of Compliance Standard" safety forms are prepared and submitted to the Director of Construction / Project Manager on a weekly basis by all Superintendents.
· Ensures that the project is built in accordance with plans, specifications and contract documents.
