The Pit Boss plays a key leadership role on the casino floor, overseeing table game operations in a lively, fast-paced environment where guest experience and game integrity are top priorities. A Pit Boss is responsible for maintaining the overall flow and atmosphere of the pit, supporting dealers, engaging with players, and addressing issues quickly and professionally as they arise. This role requires strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a high-energy setting where no two shifts are ever the same.
Candidate must have a SDCG gaming license.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Supervising table game operations to ensure games run efficiently, fairly, and in compliance with casino policies.
- Assisting the Table Games Manager with promotions and administrative needs.
- Maintaining a positive and professional gaming environment by monitoring player conduct, alcohol consumption, and table etiquette.
- Supporting and guiding dealers, including managing rotations and stepping in when needed to maintain game flow.
- Anticipating operational needs such as chip inventory, table fills, and staffing adjustments.
- Resolving player concerns or disputes promptly while preserving a welcoming and entertaining atmosphere.
- Building rapport with guests to enhance their experience and encourage return play.
- Monitoring table activity and performance to ensure smooth transitions and accurate reporting.
- Completing required documentation and overseeing scheduled operational procedures.
