Senior Owner’s Representative II
Overview
Lead large, complex K–12 construction and modernization projects, guiding all phases from pre-construction through close-out. Serve as the District’s on-site representative to ensure scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all project phases: pre-construction, procurement, construction, and close-out.
- Review design documents and provide constructability and coordination feedback.
- Prepare and present project progress reports.
- Coordinate with public agencies and internal stakeholders on compliance and off-site requirements.
- Manage budgets, schedules, forecasts, and monthly reporting.
- Oversee contractor performance, daily activities, schedules, submittals, and RFIs.
- Review and negotiate change orders and schedule impacts.
- Administer contracts, payments, and consultant agreements.
- Oversee delivery/installation of District-provided FF&E.
- Lead project close-out, including certification and final financial reconciliation.
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience delivering large educational, public, or commercial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction documents, contracts, phasing, and site logistics.
- Effective communicator with strong planning and leadership abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and anticipate project issues.
Minimum Qualifications
- 15 years in construction or project/construction management for commercial, educational, or public facilities.
- 5 years managing complex projects over $20M.
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; or CCM certification; or Licensed Architect/Engineer.
Preferred Qualifications
- Design-Build experience.
- Experience with BIM.
- Familiarity with LEED/CHPS standards and DSA processes.
- OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training.
