Overview
We are seeking a Financial Advocate for a night-shift, temp-to-perm role within the Patient Registration department. This role focuses on patient financial screening, insurance education, securing authorizations, and ensuring accounts are cleared for billing.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct patient financial screenings and secure payment arrangements.
Educate patients on insurance coverage, benefits, and billing processes.
Obtain insurance authorizations and verify account readiness for billing.
Identify financial assistance or alternative funding sources.
Provide cost estimates and document interactions in Epic.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma required; Bachelor's strongly preferred.
1–2 years in Patient Financial Advocacy, Registration, or Accounting.
Front-end patient financial/customer service experience.
Epic experience and insurance authorization experience required.
Spanish or Hmong language skills preferred.
Skills
Strong customer service and communication abilities.
Knowledge of insurance and financial assistance programs.
Ability to multitask, problem solve, and work under pressure.
