We work with schools, governments, healthcare organizations, and non-profits to offer critical language access services. Mindlink is committed to helping non-native English speakers receive information in their own language, fostering community connection, and promoting thriving outcomes. Our easy-to-use job scheduling portal, LinguistLink, quickly connects clients to qualified translators and interpreters, manages scheduling, and offers analytics and tracking. Additionally, we are developing FamiliesLink to help clients automate compliance reporting and integrate data.
This is a full-time hybrid role located in Portland, OR, with some work from home flexibility. The Interpreter will be responsible for providing interpretation services for various clients including schools, healthcare, and non-profit organizations. Day-to-day tasks include facilitating communication between non-English speaking community members and service providers, managing interpretation schedules, and maintaining accurate records of interpretation sessions. The Interpreter will work closely with clients to ensure that communication is effective and culturally appropriate.
- Proficiency in two or more languages, with strong interpretation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the target language
- Ability to manage schedules and keep accurate records
- Familiarity with cultural nuances and sensitivity to cultural differences
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse populations
- Experience in interpretation within schools, healthcare, government, or non-profit sectors is a plus
- Flexibility to work both on-site in Portland, OR, and remotely
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant certification in interpretation
