What are the responsibilities and job description for the WebLogic Administrator position at Mindlance?
Overview:
We are seeking a WebLogic / Middleware Application Support Engineer to support and troubleshoot mission-critical applications in a multi-tier environment. This is NOT a pure development role — the focus is WebLogic administration, Oracle troubleshooting, deployment support, and application operational stability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, configure, and support Oracle WebLogic environments
- Troubleshoot issues across multi-tier apps (UI → Middleware → DB)
- Support deployments, patching, password changes, user requests
- Perform outage analysis & production incident support
- Work with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL – stored procedures, jobs, views
- Make minor enhancement-level code changes (Java/J2EE)
- Develop scripts (PowerShell, Shell, SSIS) for automation
- Support OMS/ADMS/utility apps (preferred but not required)
- Participate in occasional on-call rotation (1–2 times/month)
Required Skills:
- 5–6 years of experience
- Strong WebLogic Administration background
- Unix/Linux Windows Server experience
- Strong Oracle SQL & PL/SQL skills
- Java/J2EE troubleshooting (not a heavy dev role)
- PowerShell / scripting experience
- Good communicator & flexible to handle changing priorities
- Bachelor’s degree required
Nice to Have:
- Utility or OMS/ADMS experience
- Experience with C#, .NET
- SSIS or API integration background
