Job Title : Medical Assistant
Location : Clearwater, FL 33756 (Onsite)
Shift : Must be able to work 4 days a week between these operational hours M-F 6:45 am – 5:15 pm
Start : ASAP
Description:
- Provides assistance to the physicians in the preparation for and examination/treatment of patients.
- Prepares patient to be seen by the provider by obtaining patient history, taking vital signs, drawing labs, and assisting with coordination of care.
- Handles patient flow. Prepares examination room, cleans and sterilizes instruments per protocol, administers medications, reviews preprinted instruction sheets with patients, and other medical duties as assigned. May perform general office duties.
- Requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
- Require a CPR certification.
Skills:
- Minimum 2 years experience as a medical assistant.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to perform vitals, draw labs, administer injections, complete point of care testing, perform EKG's.
- Strong front and back-office skills.
Education:
- Requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program. Current CPR Certification.
