Essential Job Responsibilities

Direct Care & Engagement

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy (scope consistent with BBS registration and payer rules).

  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments, safety plans, treatment plans, and progress notes on time.

  • Conduct risk screenings and escalate to supervisor per protocol (suicide risk, abuse/neglect, duty to protect).

  • Coordinate care with internal teams (psychiatry, case management) and external partners (schools, PCPs, CBOs).

  • Deliver services via in-person and telehealth; maintain a professional, private environment for remote care.

Bilingual Service Delivery

  • Offer clinical services in English and Spanish (or designated languages) using culturally humble, patient-centered approaches.

  • Provide interpretation only within policy boundaries (clinical care vs. administrative translation); use approved tools/forms.

Documentation, Quality & Compliance

  • Document all services in the EHR (e.g., TherapyNotes) within 72 hours; link diagnoses, codes, and medical necessity elements per payer.

  • Follow HIPAA/PHI safeguards, privacy practices, and mandatory reporting requirements.

  • Participate in chart audits; resolve defects and implement corrective actions.

Supervision & Development

  • Maintain active BBS registration (AMFT/APCC/ASW or Trainee status) in good standing.

  • Attend and prepare for required individual/group supervision; maintain weekly supervision logs and learning goals.

  • Integrate supervisor feedback; complete required trainings (Law & Ethics, HIPAA, safety, EBPs).

Access, Throughput & Teaming

  • Maintain productivity/encounter targets; manage cancellations/no-shows using reminder, outreach, and same-day fill strategies.

  • Participate in huddles, case conferences, and in-services; share trends and solutions.

  • Uphold MindDivers values—professionalism, empathy, accountability, and teamwork.

Standard of Care Note: Where payer, BBS, and MindDivers standards differ, the stricter requirement controls.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a qualifying behavioral-health field (MFT, PCC, MSW, or equivalent).

  • Bilingual fluency (spoken and written) in English and Spanish (or designated second language); pass language assessment if required.

  • Current California BBS registration (AMFT/APCC/ASW) or eligibility to obtain within 60 days of hire; Law & Ethics exam timelines maintained per BBS.
