What are the responsibilities and job description for the Freelance Brand Strategist, Pharma RFPs (As Needed) position at mindbodygreen?
mindbodygreen is a trusted wellness media brand, and pharma and health brands increasingly partner with us to reach engaged, health-curious audiences in a way that feels credible and human. We're looking for a freelance strategist who knows pharma and can help us win more of this work.
You'll partner closely with our Director of Brand Strategy and our sales team on pharma and health RFPs: unpacking the brief, building the strategic narrative, developing audience and condition-category insight, shaping branded content and media ideas, and helping write and structure the final deck. Some projects will be a quick turnaround on a single section, others a full response from kickoff to submission. [Recent work has spanned categories like women's health, dermatology, cardiovascular and mental health.]
You'll feel right at home here if you have 5 to 10 years of experience, with real time spent in pharma or health marketing, whether agency side, publisher side, or brand side. You understand DTC and ideally HCP audiences, you know how MLR review and fair balance shape what's possible, and you can still make an idea feel fresh within those guardrails. You write clearly, think in stories, and are comfortable building in Google Slides and PowerPoint, taking a deck from rough outline to polished draft.
RFP timelines are often tight, so we're looking for someone who can turn work around within a few days and is available during ET business hours when a project is live. This is a remote, as-needed freelance role with project-based work that ebbs and flows with the RFP calendar.
