GIS Developer

Mindbank Consulting Group is seeking experienced GIS Developers to support environmental and conservation-focused geospatial systems, building and maintaining enterprise GIS applications that enable spatial analysis, data visualization, and informed decision-making. This is a bid and, therefore, these are anticipated opportunities. NO THIRD PARTIES.

·         Where? Fort Collins, Colorado, OR Falls Church, Virginia, FULLY ONSITE, 5 DAYS PER WEEK. This is not hybrid; this is not remote; exceptions cannot be made. Mindbank does not provide relocation assistance.

This role combines hands-on GIS development with ArcGIS Enterprise administration, supporting both backend geospatial services and user-facing web applications.

GIS Developer Responsibilities:

·         Develops, maintains, and enhances geospatial applications and databases.

·         Manages ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal architecture and administration, provides best-practice guidance, and performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for geospatial services.

·         Develop and maintain GIS applications using ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, and related APIs.

·         Create and maintain web applications using ArcGIS Web AppBuilder Developer Edition, ArcGIS Dashboards, ArcGIS API for JavaScript, and/or ArcGIS API for Python.

·         Develop and maintain scripts using Python/ArcPy for custom geoprocessing tasks; develop/maintain Python scripts for ArcGIS Server.

·         Maintain a well-documented codebase and manage source control (e.g., BitBucket).

·         Publish and manage web services (map/feature/geoprocessing) to ArcGIS Enterprise; integrate REST services into web apps.

·         Develop and maintain custom widgets/code for Web AppBuilder Developer Edition (JavaScript).

·         Manage species Critical Habitat and Range data in the Species Workflow in ECOSphere.

·         Test and debug web applications and services; remediate defects and performance issues.

·         Provide technical expertise and GIS development best practices; rapidly prototype applications to demonstrate concepts.

·         Develop and maintain geodatabase functions and triggers (PostgreSQL/PostGIS).

·         Support ArcGIS Enterprise administrative tasks (upgrades, patching, monitoring, backups, troubleshooting) and advise on system architecture.

GIS Developer Qualifications:

·         At least 5 years of professional, hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of GIS, spatial data management/manipulation, and data modeling; proven GIS system development experience.

·         Experience with ArcGIS products and spatial DB technologies (PostgreSQL/PostGIS).

·         Experience administering ArcGIS Enterprise environments (Portal/Server/Data Store) and troubleshooting architecture/performance issues.

·         Experience integrating GIS services with enterprise applications and data pipelines.

·         Full-stack web experience (e.g., Web APIs, REST/OData, AWS/IIS/SQL) where relevant to ECOSphere GIS apps.

·         Experience with development and maintenance of Python scripts for ArcGIS Server.

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to coordinate across partners and teams.

·         Ability to manage complex tasks including planning, goal setting, and monitoring accomplishments.
