Pay: Hourly pay starts at $37/hour based on experience
Schedule
- Full-time Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm
- Ability to work overtime and be on an on-call rotation

- As a Sr. HVAC Maintenance Technician, you will be a go-to expert for ensuring the smooth operation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across a diverse mix of new, aging, and historic buildings, including office and academic buildings, residence halls, and apartments. You’ll be responsible for:
- Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems to keep our buildings running efficiently.
- Diagnosing, resolving and repairing mechanical and electrical issues related to HVAC equipment.
- Maintaining and monitoring building automation system performance and making adjustments to improve energy efficiency.
- Installing, rebuilding, replacing, or repairing equipment and parts.
- Collaborating with the facilities team to support general building maintenance.
- Responding promptly to maintenance requests and ensuring minimal disruption to daily campus operations.
- Training and assisting HVAC maintenance technicians as needed.
- Maintaining logs of system operations and work performed using computer systems
- Keeping working area safe, wearing and/or using appropriate safety equipment and tools, and abiding by established safety policies and procedures.
- Maintaining good attendance and punctuality.
- Assisting with snow removal as needed.
- High School diploma or GED
- At least four (4) years of commercial HVAC experience including programming commercial HVAC building automation systems
- EPA 608 Universal Certification
- Certification in building automation systems such as Metasys, Samsung VRF, and/or Distech.
- Wisconsin HVAC Qualifier Certification (currently have or able to obtain)
Must be able to use a ladder, areal lift platform and all maintenance related equipment and tools. Must be able to lift items up to 50lbs. Bending at the waist, sitting, kneeling, laying horizontally, climbing, frequent walking, etc. as job may require. Ability to work in all weather conditions. Ability to work at various heights.
